SMS1 - Alarm Output SMS1 provides a simple way of distributing alarm messages to mobile cellular phone users. Each user registers their mobile number with Prodigy and joins one or more alarm groups. They will then receive an SMS text message for each alarm that occurs, clears or is accepted. SMS1 works using any standard telephone line and modem by sending the alarm messages via your selected short message service centre. Short message service centres are available in most countries that have SMS capable networks. Users looking to utilise this facility should check on the availability of short message service centres in their region.
